My journey making jewelry began around 2014. That is the date of my first California Resale License. My good friend Lady J showed me how she made rosaries as a girl, and that was the seed. Since then I have been stringing beads of various types, though I have my favorites: carnelian is one. (Orange is the new red.) Since the beginning I have sold or gifted my work. For several years I donated a piece for the silent auction of fund raising gala of a non profit I supported and served on their board for a time. I am self taught with a collection of "How To" books and online utube videos that enhanced my skills. I originally sold from my living room to family and
friends, but the pandemic ended that. Then for a while on Etsy. The website was a natural conclusion of a desire to sell my work. Last year BKBaubles.shop was launched. Why do I do it? To increase my ability to give to the causes I believe in.
